FLYING TO PUNTA MITA

From the United States: book a flight to Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR) in Puerto Vallarta. This airport is the closest major international hub to Punta Mita.

Many U.S. cities (Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, San Francisco, Denver, etc.) offer direct flights to PVR.

TRAVELING FROM PUERTO VALLARTA TO PUNTA MITA

Distance: About 25 miles (40 km); travel time is 45–60 minutes depending on traffic.

Transportation Options:

  • Private transfer or hotel shuttle: If staying at the Four Seasons, they can help you book this transfer through the concierge.

  • Taxi or rideshare: Taxis are available at the airport, if using a Taxi service we recommend calling +52 329 291 5301; Uber operates in the area.

  • Car rental: Rent a car if you want flexibility to explore the region. Many major car rental agencies operate in Puerto Vallarta: Budget, Hertz, & Avis.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

U.S. citizens do not need a visa for tourist stays under 180 days.

Bring a valid passport.
